Hi, This is Shampad Sharkar and I’m going to discuss about how to reduce or compress image size so that it is less in size but the quality is as the original.
Two ways:
Online
Offline
Here in this article, we are going to talk about the offline version. I prefer the offline version online. Why? Well, the Offline version or using software is convenient for me. I can compress all my images simultaneously without any issues.
Benefits of compressing images:
Your website will be lighter.
You will need less space.
Pages will load faster.
Your visitors will attract.
Your traffic will increase because of the lighter website.
“Caesium” is the software we are going to use here. This is the software I’m using for my works for years. I found it very convenient.
You can set an image format as well for output. And there’s in an option called Set Quality as you need and on the right sidebar you’ll get a preview bar. Where you will be able to see the quality of your output and if you don’t like the output you can again change the quality from the quality seeking bar and check.
Then if you see the image is ok as original and the size is pretty much reduced you can convert the image.
Procedures:
Download the application.
Install and launch the application.
Click on File from the left corner.
Select Files or Folders. (you can select folders directly for faster work)
Set Quality and check the output from the right sidebar.
Set the desired output folder. (where you want to receive the compressed images)
Click Compress!.
