This year's first joint military exercise by South Korea and the U.S. will be held for ten days in early March. A South Korean military source has confirmed that the military is preparing for the springtime combined exercise, dubbed the "20-dash-one" exercise.
It's classified as Combined Command Post Training,... which means it's a computer-based simulation and does not involve the mobilization of actual troops or equipment.
Just like last year, it's expected to be scaled back compared to the previous large-scale springtime drills Key Resolve and Foal Eagle as part of efforts to support diplomatic efforts to denuclearize North Korea.
