ITV News exclusive - The extent of racist bullying in Welsh schools

ITV News exclusive - The extent of racist bullying in Welsh schools Racism and racist bullying is still prevalent in Welsh schools but teaching staff aren't being trained to deal with it according to new research. This was my exclusive for ITV Cymru Wales.
In a survey of nearly 800 teachers in Wales, more than a third said a child had been bullied for their skin colour in their current school. While a quarter said they had responded to, or had a pupil report racism in the last year. More concerningly, nearly two thirds of teachers said they had not received ANY training in teaching anti-racism in their school.
With more on tonight's top story - our reporter Hamish Auskerry has been to meet one mother who removed her daughter from classes after she allegedly experienced racism at school.

Broadcast on 'Wales at Six' on ITV on the 26th February 2020.
