Hello everyone and welcome back to ForB's English lesson video. My name is Richard and today we're going to take a look at a video and I'd like you to guess what's happening. Are you ready? Let's take a look.

Alright, could you guess what's happening? There are two ways to describe what's happening. The first way is "He is nodding off." The second way is "He is dozing off." "Nod" is this action. Like this, when you put your head down, so that's a nod. So "nod off" means to go to sleep. Like that, alright? And so "doze off" is also the same meaning. "Doze" means to sleep for a short time. So "doze off" is also doing this. Alright? So that means, "to doze off" or "to nod off" means you are starting to fall asleep. Alright?

Alright, so let's practice both ways together. Please repeat after me. He is nodding off. Great. He is dozing off. Great. So now you know how to describe this action. My name is Richard. Remember to please click like, shared, and subscribe and I'll catch you next time.
