How knowing purpose simplifies decision making

How knowing purpose simplifies decision making We make many decisions in life, but what simplifies making decisions is knowing your purpose for every decision.

I bought a car recently and had to choose between two of the same model vehicles but were different in condition and mileage.

One was 2018 black Kia Optima with 17k Miles condition fair versus a 2018 white Kia Optima with 35k miles in excellent condition.

They were both excellent choices, the black Optima low miles with the fair condition had 4 round melted craters looks like cigarette buds were put out on the steering wheel. Center console was scratched up and lots of wear and tear in the interior. Light scratches all over the car and a minor dent on the diver side door.

The purpose of the car was to be used for rideshare driving and the car was not for me. Knowing its purpose made it simpler to make a decision. The car with low miles would be the best choice based on purpose. Now, this may sound like it was a simple decision but when you're spending $18,300 on a car with this kind of condition I could have easily purchased the other car based on my preference rather on purpose.

Purpose does make things simple in everyday life. We make over 28+ decisions every day and they all impact the big picture macro of how your life turns out.
