Welles' pediatric scoliosis story and surgery #4. Welles underwent his fourth Mehta casting surgery at Seattle Children's Hospital to treat his early onset scoliosis. Scoliosis surgery, especially for a baby, is difficult to experience. However, the trip to surgery is something we wanted to share with everyone in the hopes that is helps another family. Ashley and Brandon met in 2014 in Syracuse, NY, the same year Ashley started her first beauty blog. Together, they packed their entire lives into one car and moved 2,500 miles to the strange and beautiful city of Portland, OR. They adopted a senior Beagle rescue dog, Alva.
After finding out Ashley was pregnant, they decided to start vlogging to document their lives. The vlogs started on Ashley's main YouTube channel, but it quickly became clear they needed a channel of their own. Welles Joseph Riley was born in July 2017. In late 2018 he was diagnosed with severe infantile scoliosis. In February 2019 they made the decision to move temporarily to Tacoma, WA to be closer to Welles' doctors in Seattle.
