No more shame says the UK statistics on abortion published last week should be used to inform policy, not to scaremonger. It says a more useful interpretation of the statistics is in the light of the 14 percent budget cuts on sexual health between 2013 and 2018. The group believes the real stuff of nightmares is not the minuscule percentage of women who have had their eighth abortion, but instead the fact that women still do not have access to proper and free sexual health advice and contraception.
