Something Happens In "The Summer"- This Hit Me Like A Ton of Bricks. The Symbolic "Summer is near" of Matthew 24:32. Matthew 24:32-35 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
When the branch of the fig tree sprouts leaves we know two things. One, it's Spring time and the other, Summer is near.
We know that this passage of scripture is loaded. Yet I want to zero in on the fact that something happens in the Summer.
What I'd like to share is a note on the seasons, what happens in those seasons along with the agricultural connections made here within this text.
Alright, let's get to it.
We're aware that Israel is the fig tree. One example that we see it described that way, is Hosea 9:10.
Hosea 9:10
I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
In Matthew 24:32, when Israel, the fig tree, was regathered and reborn as a nation in 1948 the branch was tender and began putting forth leaves.
Look at this....
Isaiah 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once?
Then after the fig tree puts forth leaves, we know that Summer is near, right?
Let's continue on in Isaiah 66:8:
for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
What happens in this symbolic season of Summer? Zion travails and brings forth her children. Remember this. It say children. She has more than 1 child.
But something happens BEFORE she travails.
Look at verse 7
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
See that? BEFORE her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. One child delivered BEFORE and 1 AFTER her pain came. We note this again in Revelation 12:5 where the 1st child went before her pain came.
Revelation 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
That's the 1st child.
Look at this on her second child born after the pain came.
Remember Hosea 9:10 "I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; "
Look at what happens in Revelation 12:6 AFTER her first child was brought forth. in the 5th verse. caught up unto God and to His throne. That's the body of Christ, the Church.
Look at where she goes, back into the wilderness just like where she was found in Hosea 9:10.
Revelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
It's mentioned again further down in the chapter. Revelation 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
This is the second half of the tribulation, during her pain. That time, and times and half a time are the last 3 1/2 hears of the 70th Week. The 7 year tribulation.
Look further, I want to show you who her second child is.
Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
These are whom we call the tribulation saints. The second child of the woman. To be born AFTER the tribulation of those days. This here is an account during her pain.
Let's note again it says the remnant of her seed. This is the left behind, the remainder of her seed because her first child was delivered BEFORE her pain came.
Matthew24:3-9
That's the snapshot of what happens in the Summer. And we see that this occurs within the time span of the last generation. And ALL of it is to be fulfilled. Concluding with the birth of the second child AFTER the tribulation of those days. I hope that you see that these children are representations of groups of people. One BEFORE her pain, her trouble, her trial. And one AFTER. When our bodies put on incorruption as it says in 1 Corinthians 15:53-54 this is the "birth" into our glorified bodies that scripture is describing. For we are already "born again" in our spirits when we become saved.
