I've been rewriting all of the pop light patterns to use state machines instead of delays to avoid blocking code on the lights. With the state machines each of the patterns can be interrupted at any time to start a different pattern leading to a more responsive user experience with the touch controller. The last pattern to rewrite was the rainbow pattern from adafruit's. It's really cool to have a rainbow-without-delay version of the code!!
