Path of Exile - 3.10 (Delirium) Cyclone Build Outline - Impale Champion Dual Swords

Path of Exile - 3.10 (Delirium) Cyclone Build Outline - Impale Champion Dual Swords Cyclone is a proven performer - not as overpowered as it was in 3.7 (Legion league) but very solid.

Whilst in the past I have advocated the Slayer, Berserker and Juggernaut, in the 3.10 Delirium expansion I feel the Champion offers more than any other ascendancy.

Path of Building outline ('Meh' gear, except for a six linked Warlord's Astral Plate, but still has solid DPS and defenses)

Quick outline:

- Start as a Duelist, specialise as a Champion
- Ascendancy node order doesn't matter, but don't leave Master of Metal until dead last. Take it first, second or third.
- Look for swords with as much physical damage per second as possible and the highest possible base critical strike chance.
- You will use Impale, a mechanic which causes some (eventually all) of your attacks to deal 'echoes' of their damage on subsequent hits.
- You will also scale critical strikes.
- Scaeva is recommended as an early endgame weapon. Until you can afford it, any mediocre physical damage weapon will do.

Key links:

- Cyclone - Infused Channelling - Melee Physical Damage - Fortify - Brutality - Impale. While levelling, drop Brutality and Impale until a six link becomes available.
- Blood Rage is essential for utility and damage.
- Ancestral Warchief Totem is good.
- Leap Slam - Endurance Charge on Melee Stun - Fortify - Faster Attacks for movement
- Experiment with guards, utility skills and golems - these come down to personal taste.
- There is mention of Vaal Ground Slam in the video. Disregard this, it doesn't work. My stupid, and it is being edited out :(. Use Vaal Double Strike instead, or Vaal Molten Shell.

Cluster Jewels:

Some cluster jewels are incredibly good in this build, but we don't yet know how rare they will be. Deep Cuts is an incredibly powerful node, spec if it you can and cut off whatever on the tree is needed to do so.

Mana:

At endgame you will want to use the Warlord-only suffix "Socketed attacks cost 15 less mana" to solve all mana issues. Until this point, you will need a mana flask. I'm partial to Doedre's Elixir - many call me crazy for thinking this.

Potential Upgrades:

A ring with "Curse enemies with level X Assassin's Mark on hit" will be a godsend, allowing you to remove Doedre's Elixir.
Upgrading the Diamond Flask to one with the crafted (Catarina-exclusive craft) mod that ups critical strike chance will add a lot of damage.
