Learn about engineering mechanics lectures for gate starting from Introduction to Kinematics of Rigid Bodies and many more topics for Mechanical for GATE Exam.
A rigid body is an idealization of a body that does not deform or change shape. Formally it is defined as a collection of particles with the property that the distance between particles remains unchanged during the course of motions of the body. Like the approximation of a rigid body as a particle, this is never strictly true. All bodies deform as they move. However, the approximation remains acceptable as long as the deformations are negligible relative to the overall motion of the body and also learn about:-
• Angular Momentum.
• Principle of conservation of Angular Momentum.
Principle of conservation of angular momentum states that, If no external torque acts on a system, the total angular momentum of the system remains constant.
Siddharth Surana holds a degree in mechanical engineering. Known primarily as a passionate teacher and metal cutting consultant, he has focused his scholarly activities on technical consultation and teaching. He taught for physics Olympiad and IITJEE, before beginning his career with industries. He loves nature, which always gives him inspiration to explain engineering with natural instances. His interests include research in sports mechanics. This series of video lectures contains detailed explanation of fundamentals required to face the toughest competitive exams and interviews at different levels. The level of lectures has been increased from basic to advance so that even an average student can pick up and improve his aptitude in engineering to crack different competitive exams.
About Mechanical Engineering:-
Engineering mechanics is the study of forces that act on bodies and the resultant motion that those bodies experience. Engineering mechanics subject involves the application of the principles of mechanics to solve real-time engineering problems.
Engineering Mechanics is an application of applied science that deals with a functional aspect of mechanics. Herein, the mechanics explain the reaction of body systems (solids and fluids) or even bodies affected by external forces.
The subject is about the research of pairs and forces and their results on inflexible physical bodies. Engineering Mechanics is divided into 2 parts; Statics which manages the study of a body at rest under activity of motion; and Dynamics which inflicts along with the condition of a proposal under the action of motion. Engineering Mechanics forms a style and review of structure frameworks, devices, and parts.
