• Zenfolio Homepage
The homepage is the landing page of your Zenfolio website.
The homepage can be customized as desired by the photographer. There are many combinations for Theme, Layouts and Options that you can choose to achieve the look and feel that you want for your home page.
• Zenfolio Organization
Groups, Galleries, and Collections are used for organizing your photographs. You should become familiar with the differences to use them effectively.
Galleries
Galleries hold your actual photographs. When you upload photographs you always upload them into a new or existing gallery.
A gallery can have a description and access to it can be protected. Every gallery has a corresponding visitor page where visitors can view thumbnails and photographs.
Groups
Groups are similar to folders on your computer: they can hold galleries and other groups. Because of this, they can be used to organize your galleries into groups of galleries. For example, you can create a 'Clients' group and have it contain all of your client galleries.
You can create any number of groups and organize them into a hierarchy that suits your needs. Groups can be moved in and out of other groups at any time preserving the links and the content.
Collections
Collections hold links to uploaded photographs. They can include links to photos uploaded by you or by other Zenfolio members.
• Zenfolio Site Presets
Site Presets are site design and layout settings that have already been adjusted and optimized to make your various Zenfolio pages have a well coordinated presentation. They are comprehensive, affecting your site settings, theme, layouts, and page options.
The preset is applied to your entire site- with the preset's combination of customization settings applying to all of the pages of the site. Also all groups, galleries, collections and other pages will be set to use default settings.
• Zenfolio Site Menu
The Site Menu is the main mode of navigation on your site. This menu allows you to provide links to your photos, built-in pages, custom pages, etc. You can also use this menu to link to an external website such as a blog, your Youtube or Vimeo channel, Social Media Page or any other website on the internet.
By default this menu is pre-populated based on the Preset first applied to the site. But if you want other pages or new galleries to be accessible to your site visitors, you will need to add links to those items to the Site Menu.
Please note that when new galleries or groups are created in the account, a corresponding menu item will not be automatically added.
• Zenfolio Gallery Settings
When customizing a Gallery or Collection Thumbnails page, the photographer is able to apply different Themes, Layouts and Options to the page.
• Zenfolio Gallery Thumbnails Page
The Gallery Thumbnails Page is customizable and is available for you to customize anytime using Customize Website View.
• Zenfolio Portfolio
A portfolio is a compilation of materials that exemplifies your beliefs, skills, qualifications, education, training and experiences. It provides insight into your personality and work ethic.
To display images in a Portfolio, you'll need to create a gallery and then upload photos to that gallery. You can then direct your clients to that gallery to view your Portfolio photos.
Galleries are used to display photos in your site. Galleries can be used to display photos of your clients as well as displaying your portfolio images.
