The novel coronavirus (“2019 novel coronavirus”, 2019-nCoV) began in Wuhan, Hubei, China, from what is believe to be . In this lesson, we discuss the incubation period of the virus, the common and uncommon signs and symptoms, laboratory and bloodwork findings in patients with this virus, and chest x-ray (ex. bilateral pulmonary infiltrates) and CT scan findings (ex. ground-glass opacities). We also discuss how we can diagnosis this virus, possible treatment options for this viral infection, and methods of preventing infection and spread of this virus.
