(August 1956) Moving to Bloomington, Illinois at the end of sixth grade, Amb. Quinn becomes enthralled with Illinois high school basketball and especially the annual state tournament known as the “Sweet 16.” He has the pinnacle moment of his athletic career while in eighth grade, but then his vision for high school is altered by another move, this time to Dubuque, Iowa, just one week before high school is to begin in August 1956.
