The 3rd cassette release by Birmingham band MUGWUMP.
From the old E.T.S. Records website:
"1997's Alternative Routes was Mugwump's third release, with the addition of keys played by friend, Ed Casey. This gave the band a new sound & direction, with songs containing odd time signatures & ever changing parts. By this time, Mugwump was receiving serious interest from fanzines worldwide & major record companies, who were eagerly awaiting the release of Alternative Routes. It received good reviews & air play throughout Europe & America, & also interest from Sweden & Norway. However, the record companies were less impressed & said that they were confused by Mugwumps image, or lack of one."
