Ireland prepares to head to polls in election which could shift political norms | ITV News If the polls are to be believed, often a big "if" these days, the Republic of Ireland could soon have a new prime minister and a new government by next week.

Leo Varadkar, a constant opponent of Brexit, as leader of our closest EU neighbour, says its way to soon to write his political obituary.
