Duke of Cambridge Jokes About ‘The Crown’ at the BAFTAs

Duke of Cambridge Jokes About ‘The Crown’ at the BAFTAs The Duke of Cambridge made a joke about ‘The Crown’ in his speech at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs).

Prince William, who is also President of the BAFTAs, said he didn’t know “whether I should be proud, or slightly alarmed, about the number of winners over the last decade who have portrayed members of my own family."

The Duke also addressed the lack of diversity in this year’s nominees: "In 2020, we find ourselves talking again about the need to do more to ensure diversity within the sector and in the awards process. That simply cannot be right in this day and age.”
