We take advantage of great resources like industry journals and skills magazines, as well as live maker and trades events. WoodSmith® magazine is one of DirtFarmer Jay’s resources and has been since 1980! Many of the skills and techniques he uses have had their genesis in the pages of WoodSmith®!
It’s even better when you get to meet the founder (Don Peschke) of the magazine, or the authors and on-screen personalities at WoodSmith® in person! DirtFarmer Jay and Maggie attended the Woodsmith Workshop in the Fall of 2019 and met the editorial, production and shop team. It was a superb experience!
Well-known YouTube personalities were special presenters as well, including George Vondriska of Woodworker’s Guild of America (WGOA), Matt Cremona (mattcremona.com), James Hamilton (StumpyNubs.com) and Anne Briggs (anneofalltrades.com). Each offered EXCELLENT workshops, some of which will be featured in future episodes right here on DirtFarmerJay!
