The nucleus cane states of Pelwatta Sugar Factory is centered with three national parks-Yala,Lunugamwehera and Handapanagala and wild elephants roam in the cane fields destroying the cane more often than not. Therefore, everyday these missions are launched to retreat them back in to the wild.the most significant thing is that they don'e use any guns or sound crackers and only by tractors they drive the elephants making fascinating scenes.
