You may be familiar with the Incognito browsing mode on Google Chrome. Now, Google Maps also offers Incognito Mode so you can navigate without your activity being saved to your Google account. Watch this video to learn how to turn Incognito Mode on and off in Google Maps! #GoogleMapsIncognito #GoogleMapsIncognitoMode
To enable Incognito Mode, open Google Maps on your device and tap your profile icon in the top right corner. Then select Turn On Incognito Mode. You’ll see a pop-up at the bottom with information about how Incognito Mode works. It states that while you have Incognito Mode enabled, Google Maps won’t save your search history to your account, update your location history or shared location, or use your activity to personalize the app. Tap Close to exit this window. Now you can continue using Google Maps as you normally would, while not saving any of your activity to your account.
If you want to turn off Incognito Mode, simply tap the Incognito icon in the top right corner, then select Turn Off Incognito Mode.
