In an exclusive and detailed encounter with Asabe Afrika TV inside his Festac Town, Lagos (South Western Nigeria) mansion, High Chief Abiola Ogundokun, an eminent Nigerian and OBA NLA of IWO Kingdom, who returned from a four weeks trip to the United Kingdom narrated the story of how the embattled Oluwo of Iwo met and fell in love with his Jamaican wife and how the union scattered like a badly arranged card sometimes in the middle of the year.
Chief Ogundokun, a renowned socialite, politician and philanthropist is the Oba Nla of Iwo land, the Apesin-Ola of Erin-Osun land and the J'agun P'ote of the Source (Ile-Ife) among other titles across Western towns.
He has been in a long battle with Oluwo over issues relating to abuse of privileges on the part of the young and exuberant Oba. Ogundokun, a kingmaker was rubbished on many front by the Oba who described the octogenarian with many unprintable names at different forum in and outside Iwo town.
Chief Ogundokun a former National Party of Nigeria and People's Democratic Party scribe has since sued the Oba for damages at the different courts in Osun state.
But the Oluwo who has been a victim of one controversy or the other since he assumed the throne added a new one to his list of unpredictable misdemeanor penultimate week when news went round town that he has sacked his wife (Olori Chanel Chin) over what he termed 'irreconcilable differences'
Asabe Afrika TV sought to find out from Chief Ogundokun, who acted the role of a chaperon to both Oluwo and his wife at their early marriage, what could be the reason for the sudden divorce.
