Even if you don't use GreenGeeks, finding good web hosting is imperative. Just make sure you're using a host that has great security options and awesome support staff.
Finding a domain name for your new blog is another story, though. It could take quite a while to get the right domain name for your specific blog because the Internet is full of websites. The name you want might already be taken. Try a few variations of your name and see if you can get something that fits the blog you're trying to create.

And don't forget to connect an SSL to your domain name. A Secure Sockets Layer will help you in search results while protecting your site and its visitors. Not to mention how unsecure sites are now labeled in browsers as being such.
Bottom line, an SSL makes you look more professional.
