Fire crews searching Union home after fire broke out, no contact made with resident

Fire crews searching Union home after fire broke out, no contact made with resident UNION, Ky. (WKRC) - Crews are searching a burned-out home in Union for the woman who lives there.

A fire destroyed the home on Caitlin Drive in the Churchill Estates subdivision Tuesday afternoon. The family who lives there said they couldn't get a hold of one of the people who also lives there.

The multiple fire departments fighting the fire brought in a backhoe to clear the debris during their search. Union Fire Chief Michael Morgan says all of the floors in the home collapsed.

The fire started around 3 p.m. Flames could still be seen inside around 7 p.m. There was so much smoke coming from the house it could be seen for miles.

Neighbors said they tried to help save the family pets.

It's not known what started the fire.

This house was recently listed for sale with Huff Realty. That listing has now been taken down.
