Indian authorities stepped up screening and prevention efforts at airports and hospitals across the country on Monday as the threat of coronavirus looms across Asia. In the city of Bhubaneswar, a government-run fever hospital has recorded five suspected cases of infection in the past four days, hospital superintendent K Shankar said, with India seeing at least six suspected cases nationwide.
The death toll from the coronavirus outbreak in China, where this new strain of the coronavirus originated, rose to 81 on Monday as worries grew around the world about the virus spreading.
