19 | The Disappearance of Rebecca Gary:  The Perils of Popularity Becky Pauline Gary was a 32 year old single mother living in Baton Rouge, LA. She liked making friends at local coffee shops and hobnobbing with the city's upper class. On Dec. 27th, 1988, she called her sister, telling her things weren't working out in Baton Rouge and that she was ready to move to Shreveport. Becky was never seen again.
