The reality is that customized or bespoke luxury watches that are designed by masterful watchmakers can be truly amazing timepieces to behold; more works of art than anything else.
In the past, Bamford became pretty well know for their blacked out or PVD coated watches. I remember thinking back then that a PVD Patek Philippe Nautilus 5980 was insanity, but over the years the bespoke watch industry has evolved quite a bit.
There are a lot more custom watch players right now that are doing some excellent works of customized horology!
Some of these companies that I mention on the video are Artisans of Geneva, Mad Paris, and of course the company that provided the custom timepiece I feature on the video, Designa Individual or DIW.
Designa actually hand delivered the custom Rolex Daytona in carbon fiber with a Richard Mille like orange strap that is an amazing piece to look at. The attention to detail on the entire watch is simply amazing.
