Are you planning to clean up very irregular work pieces or hard-to-reach surfaces, or do you want to remove welding discolouration? This is perfectly possible with the Sunburst brushes we have recently added to our range. These brushes are composed of polymer bonded ceramic abrasive grains. One of their greatest assets is their unrivalled flexibility. They adapt effortlessly to the shape of each work piece, especially the “curved” quality (TC) with thin, curved bristles. The “angled” version (TA), with its slightly thicker bristles, works more aggressively, while the “straight” quality (TS), with its straight, thick bristles, ensures the highest level of aggression while feeling less flexible.
But flexibility is not the only advantage: the heat generation is very limited, which means the risk of distortion or discolouration of the work piece is almost non-existent. And just as important: Sunburst brushes have a long lifespan and generate a uniform finish.
All these assets ensure the list of suitable applications is almost endless. In addition to cleaning up and removing welding discolouration, these sanding brushes are also perfect for removing mill scale, rust or paint, as well as for deburring aluminium profiles or threads, even for polishing.
Good to know: Sunburst brushes are ideal for use on CNC machines, and are a good replacement for steel wire brushes as well. For example, they do not leave any scratches or other damage on the underlying surface during deburring; at the same time, they neatly round the edges. They are also a much safer option than steel wire brushes, since the danger from flying steel wire is eliminated.
