It is difficult to tell the difference between the 1934 and 1936 Gillette Aristocrat safety razors (US) unless you know what to look for. This video shows the differences up close and also confirms that the patent numbers on the handle are identical. It is sometimes important to tell the difference between these two models. The '34 model is the first ever production TTO (twist-to-open, aka butterfly) razor. I also note the weights of each razor, with the '36 model being just a few grams heavier.
