How to register a Trademark. It is not a question of a million dollar. Only Rs3000 is enough for initiation. Submit an application at Reception Desk of IPO and get computerized serial no. on the spot.
Initial permission will be granted in few days and final approval of registration in few months.
Before submitting an application, you should obtained a search report from IPO for availability of that trademark .
One brand cannot belong to many companies but one company can have many brands.
One brand can be applied for more then one class out of forty five classes of Trademarks.
You can apply for separate registration of name, logo, colour, design, slogan, symbol, word, phrase ect as a Trademark.
You can symbolize your Trademark "TM" after admission of application and "R" after registration.
