In this video we provide tips on how to do a back flip for kids safely. If you have access to a trampoline then we would recommend you start there. However, the use of air mats or perhaps pads in a gym offer a cheaper alternative to safely learning how to do back flips for kids.
Either was the principles outlined in the video remain the same. Those are:
- Use a soft landing surface, such as an air mat, rather than trying this on the ground for the first time.
- Swing your arms up when jumping.
- Tuck your legs in tight.
- If need be, get someone to spot you to safely guide and assist you through your initial back flip attempts.
