On September 5, two Kirkland police officers received a call about petty theft and other misdemeanors in the area. The suspect, a 14-year-old boy, reportedly went into the teen center known as Kirkland Teen Union Building (KTUB). Upon entering the teen center, video surveillance shows officers forcibly detaining the teen, pushing the center’s Executive Director, and pointing a Taser at another teen – all African American.
