WATCH: Any basis for Trump's Biden allegations? 'None whatsoever,' Kent says

George Kent, the deputy assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, testified before a House committee on Nov. 13 that there is no basis for allegations made by President Donald Trump about his 2020 political rival Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter. Democratic Counsel Daniel Goldman questioned Kent during a House impeachment hearing about the content of a July 25 phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which Trump alleged that Biden, as vice president, had stopped a prosecution in Ukraine. Kent also affirmed that Biden had acted in accordance with U.S. policy in his past dealings with that country.
