The Top 3 Things That Affect Your Ability to Get a Mortgage: 1 Credit

You know you have a credit score, but how important is it really?

Turns out, pretty important. Your credit score is a number between 0 and 850 that’s determined by multiple factors and is calculated by the three credit bureaus. Basically, the higher your score, the better your rate’s gonna be.

If your credit score is under 600, you’ll probably have difficulty getting a loan, but don’t despair — if your scores are low now, they can certainly be improved over time by paying down debt and starting a track record of paying your debt on time.

And if you have NO credit score at all, there are mortgage companies like Churchill that can still help you get a loan.
