Should Captain Marvel Been An Avenger Sooner?

Should Captain Marvel Been An Avenger Sooner? Marvel announced Brie Larson as Captain Marvel in 2016, but her appearance in the MCU would not be until 2019. Though a very powerful character, Thanos used an Infinity Stone to punch her out of the movie until the end. Was that too long for Captain Marvel to be a part of the MCU? Was hiring Brie Larson in 2016 to take advantage of her Oscar winning performance? Should Captain Marvel been there for the first Avenger movie?

Captain Marvel's late arrival to help Earth is something that is brought up in Endgame itself. She stated there are other planets that also suffered the fate of half of the population missing when Thanos snapped his fingers. There were also rumors that Brie Larson's presents was not welcomed by certain MCU cast members as they felt they had paid their dues and she had not. Why wasn't there a Black Widow movie sooner? What about Scarlet Witch? Why were they pushed aside?

Imagine the first battle in New York with the likes of Captain Marvel. She and Captain America would have been nearly invincible as a team and perhaps Tony Stark would not have had to fall to Earth and nearly die. Perhaps it would have made the first encounter with Thanos go better. Perhaps some Avengers would not have had to perish along the way. With this run of the MCU, the the audience will never know. When the MCU does get rebooted, however, that may be the time for Captain Marvel to have a more prominent and earlier role in the Avengers.
