Around 200 people joined a jogging demonstration Hong Kong on Thursday, to peacefully show their support for the ongoing protests in the city.

Ms.Winny, who was part of the demonstration, explained her reasons for attending “I'm here to fight for my children and to tell the world that we are here, we are fighting for our freedom and we all stand with Hong Kong."

Another protest, Mr. Tom, said the protesters “are here to write an S.O.S, we want to spread the word to internationals that how difficult situation in Polytechnical University [is] the Polytechnical University's students it's under indiscriminate arrest and in a difficult situation, so we want the international society to help us."

Hong Kong has been rocked by protests sparked by a now-withdrawn extradition bill since March. The rallies have since evolved into a wider movement against the government, marked by violent clashes between protesters and the authorities.
