Work suspended at Seeb construction site until probe into the worksite accident is completed The families of the six Indians who tragically died at a construction site in Seeb will be compensated, according to the embassy and company officials.
The workers, aged between 22 and 43, hailed from the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Tamil Nadu.
An official at the Indian embassy in Muscat said: “We have already informed their family members and we are trying to repatriate their bodies soon. We have identified the bodies and the police have taken the biometrics of the deceased so that they can begin their procedures.”
An official of the company that hired the workers said: “We are all waiting for Royal Oman Police investigations into the accident which claimed six lives to nish. We are also going to compensate the families of the victims.”
