Bushfire-affected communities angry about lack of information provided | 7NEWS

NSW Bushfire Crisis: A visitor to Old Bar has told 7NEWS there has been a lack of information provided to the community by police and the RFS. "All they're doing is telling people to turn back around," he said.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Premier Gladys Berejiklian visited people devastated by the bushfires at an evacuation centre in Taree yesterday - but not everyone was happy to see them.

"I was disgusted ... I was told by the local radio station the premier and the prime minister only visited that site [Club Taree evacuation centre] because of their safety ... Their safety concern, they didn't want to go into a fire zone area, and because the roads were closed off. But he didn't mention that on the TV." - John Purnell, Old Bar visitor
