The importance of Knowledge

The importance of Knowledge For a large part of the human history the knowledge has always symbolized the main purpose of the mankind. Philosophers, thinkers, poets, artists, scientists, but even common people, were always lived their lives in order to understand life and the surrounding world. Today we live in a world where the interest for knowledge, and therefore for life, is almost totally lost. The contemporary man lives almost only for material interests which, apart from embracing him, distance him from what we have seen, has always been the main activity of man. The lack of knowledge and real human purposes make the human being more unhappy and insecure. Only redescovering the love for the knowledge, that it is expressed in the reading of good books, maybe we can rised up the human being from that condition of brutalization in which he now faces.
