PROJECT TIP: make sure you use smooth thicker paper for lettering practice to keep your markers lasting longer.

Brush Lettering Basics:

1. Upstroke: Using the brush tip of your marker, make lines from the bottom up using just the tip of the marker with little to no pressure.
2. Downstroke: Make straight lines down holding your brush marker at a slight angle and applying pressure as you write.
3. Practice putting the upstroke and downstroke together
4. Practice the alphabet, once you’re comfortable with the alphabet you will be able to letter words much easier.
